The finished plan

A coordinated stamped-concrete project around the home.

The backyard centerpiece is a 25-by-20-foot patio—about 500 square feet—with a light gray base and charcoal release worked into the natural-stone texture. A three-foot rock-face step creates a deliberate transition at the rear door.

The same stamp and color treatment continues at the front of the house across the porch, rock-face steps and walkway. Repeating the finish gives the property one consistent material story instead of treating the front and back as unrelated jobs.

How it came together

Texture, contrast and transitions were planned as one system.

The progress photo shows the flexible stamp mat being lifted from the fresh slab. That step establishes the stone-like surface texture; the charcoal release then settles into the low points to create contrast against the light gray concrete.

The rock-face treatment carries that texture onto the step faces. At the front entry, the matching porch and walkway connect the door to the yard while preserving the same finish selected for the backyard.
